The Mahoning County Health Department says it now has a plentiful supply of the H1N1 flu vaccine.

The health department has been vaccinating school children. Nurses administered the vaccine Tuesday at Jackson-Milton High School.

The health department is planning to visit the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center and the Sebring schools today (Wednesday, Nov. 4).

One young motherof two, Jennifer Darney, said she appreciated this effort. "I'm thrilled that schools are doing it, 'cause I work with many people in the Akron area and the schools there are not, not yet, so I'm glad Mahoning County and Portage County is, and I did not think twice."

The county health department says it has about 10,000 doses and the city of Youngstown has another 10,000.

Once the school clinics are complete, the general public can get the H1N1 vaccine.
