People enjoyed fresh food and much more today at the Gray to Green Festival in Wick Park.

This year, the festival partnered with the Mahoning Valley Organization Collaborative to transition Youngstown from a once polluted place to a greener space. The event is also in conjunction with Youngstown's 2010 plan to create a better city. The focus of this year's event is to create and sustain greener jobs .

"It's a celebration of the greening of Youngstown. So, taking Youngstown from a place that was once rooted in a very polluted economy, and taking it into a greener space. It also is in conjunction with the 2010 plan. The idea of creating greener space, using demolition in a positive way," said MVOC Coordinator, Brook Slaina.

This is the third year for the event.
