With lawmakers in Columbus still wrangling over Ohio's next two-year budget -- Governor Ted Strickland is warning painful cuts lie ahead.

The Governor spent some time in the Valley Friday-- stopping this afternoon at the Mahoning County Educational Service Center in Boardman.

He tells us with a looming three-point-two-billion dollar shortfall, just about every department and agency in the state will face significant cuts.  He says, "that means that we're going to have to make very difficult choices -- some of those choices will reduce programs that are very good programs."

While the Governor is confident the state's economy will turn-around eventually -- he says departments will need to find ways to be more efficient and consolidate services in the short-term until things improve.
