Around 100 golfers tee it up to help out a local family in need.

The Boardman-Poland Junior Women's League held its sixth annual golf outing Saturday at Bedford Trails Golf Course.

Each year, the group chooses a local person, or family to raise money for.  All the profits from this year's outing will go to Tom Driscoll and his family.  Driscoll is the father of 14 children who was seriously injured in a car accident back in January.

Yvonne Ford, co-chair of the golf outing said, "Tom Driscoll is still in a coma.  They've recently brought him home, but he's still not fully awake out of this coma, so he still needs a tremendous amount of care."

Many of Driscoll's children and family members were either playing or helping out with the event. Besides the golf, there were other games, raffles and an auction to raise money.  Proceeds will help the Driscoll family with medical expenses.
