Friends and neighbors of a Hubbard family who lost just about everything in a house fire earlier this week have started a fund to help them recover.

The Jones-Oaks House Fire Recovery Fund has been established at Huntington Bank.

Cathy Jones and her sister Loretta Oaks lived in the Homewood Avenue house with their children, and lost just about everything. They are now staying with friends.

The fire broke out around 11 p.m. Tuesday. Fire officials said the home appears to be a total loss. Initial reports indicate that the cause is accidental.
