The former Youngstown church pastor has been indicted by a Mahoning County Grand Jury on rape charges.
Dale Giffin left his post with the Zion Lutheran Church in Cornersburg back in November after allegations surfaced of his alleged misconduct.
Prosecutors claim he assaulted a female member of his former congregation on numerous occasions, dating back to 1993. Authorities actually believe the incidents may have begun even earlier, when the alleged victim was just a minor, however the statute of limitations on those crimes has already passed.
Giffin, who lives in Canfield, could appear in court sometime next week.
