A home in Braceville was consumed by flames around 7am Thursday morning.

The fire broke out in the kitchen of a 2-story house in the 700 block of Jewell North Road.  The Braceville Fire Chief says a passerby saw smoke and called 911.

Several fire departments including Windham, Garrettsville, Newton Falls and Southington helped battle the blaze.  A damage report is not complete, but the Chief did say the kitchen floor collapsed into the basement.  Luckily, the owners were not home during the fire, and no one was hurt.
