Friends and family members of Karl Hoerig have started a Facebook page on his behalf.

Hoerig was murdered in his Newton Falls home in March 2007, and Trumbull County prosecutors have indicted his estranged wife Claudia. However, she has fled to her native country of Brazil and the government has refused to extradite her back to the United States.

The Facebook page, called Justice for Karl Hoerig, was started to help bring awareness to the case. There are nearly 2,300 page members so far.

The page was begun by Lt. Col. Larry Diemand, who was a squadron member with Hoerig in Youngstown.
