An early morning tragedy in northern Trumbull County has police there investigating.

One person was killed at a major electric substation in Kinsman around 1am Monday morning.

Investigators say the man may have been trying to steal copper from the substation, located at the intersection of Stoddard Hays and Gardner Barkley Roads, when he was electrocuted.  The surge from that electrocution also touched off 14 small fires in homes throughout the area.

We are, of course, following this story and will have more information as it becomes available.
