It's a sad state of affairs when we need to rely on an industry based on vice's to survive. What happened to designing, making, building, and selling a tangible product? Educated, smart people are having small families or no kids, knuckleheads with their hands out are having large families, raising them too in an undisciplined, underachieving environment where they too look for easy money. The growing number of fools is evident in decisions like the electorate made election day. What a gift to the casino owners and the local governments who with the new revenue can continue their bloated, inefficient, overpaid and underworked models.

The Constitution to allow a monopoly? The way I see it we are going to pay for this trash. We are going to get ripped off with the money spend at the casinos it Will go to the government and not the people. We need jobs,, not gambling, what is bad people will be spending there ssi checks there and not on the family and putting it where it is needed. WE TRIED TO STOP IT.. I like to know how is going to pay the people on that farming deal of issue 2 ? getting 10 people to run the show and killing small farmer. I will guarantee people that have small farm will be destroyed. They complained about bad food and not safe they are stupid. Go to the meat factory and see how it is damage and you eat it...

Once again the masses are fooled into voting away there own prosperity in the cassino issue. Changing the Constitution to allow a monopoly is NOT THE WAY to bring gambling into Ohio. If done it should have been done where by ANYONE could start a gambling business throughout the state. But no. We the poeple of the depressed State of Ohio once again get fooled with promises of prosperity just like the lottoery was to be for the schools remember? At least the valley was smart enough not to vote for the issue. Peole around here just don't look at the big picture and only look at themselves or what they think will be for them selves. Its like when we tried to get a union in our shop and the workers there would sell us out for a doughnut and a cup of coffee with promises of change that never came. I appologize if this posted twice since i hadn't signed up yet when I first tried to post a comment. No jobs for us here in the valley unless you want to drive to CLeveland everyday. Which is where the closest monopoly will be. Time to start a referendom to this issue. Hey, if they can put it on the ballet every election to run us down getting tired of voting against it the same tactics will work to get rid of it and bring in a FAIR way to do it.

Once again the masses are fooled by the promise of money in the casino issue. People are just plain dumb. Changing the Constitution to allow a monopoly in a business is NOT THE WAY to bring gambling into Ohio but we the people stuck up ourselves yet again. If your going to want gambling then make it legal for ANYONE to set up a gambling house. The good old boys win yet another victory over the people. Its like when we tried to get a Union in a shop the workers would sell you out for a doughnut and a cup of coffee with promises of change that never comes. At leaste the valley was smart enough to vote it down. Everyone else was just plain bribed with promises of prosperity. No wonder this country has gone down.

I think if the Valley was so against the casino's, maybe they don't want to share in the revenue it will produce! Are they opting out of it now?

But, unfortunately, we won't see any of those jobs here in the valley! So, if you plan to work at one of the "so-called" great casinos, you better get your house on the market (where it will sit forever, and then sell for practically nothing) and pack your bags. You shouldn't have a hard time adjusting; I hear the crime rate is just as bad in the four areas of the state that are going to benefit from the casinos......
