Hannah's House in Vienna gives women like Kimberly Benson a place to call home.

Benson battles with drug addiction and depression.

"I did the same thing for so long," said Benson. "It's just a different mindset, and it feels really, really good."

She lives with other women who struggle with drug and alcohol addiction. Hannah's House is designed to help them overcome those problems with its one-year, faith-based program.

"They just need direction and guidance, and they need a safe place where they have accountability so that they can learn to live free of any kind of those types of choices," said Michelle Beauchene, director of Hannah's House.

The completion of a new wing at Hannah's House makes it possible for mothers like Beth Schuman to have their children close by.

"Just to be able to have him here makes all the difference," she said. "You know, it's good bonding time with him, and I don't get to miss out on his life because I got messed up with mine."

Hannah's House relies solely on donations. That's what made possible the brand new addition as well as a brand new wheelchair ramp.

Thursday morning, members of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of the Mahoning Valley donated their time and resources for the project.

"We want to make a difference with any organization that we thought we could help with," said Dave Smith, president of Mahoning Valley HBA. "There were a couple other locations that we possibly will do in the future, but we felt like this was a good starting point."

Beauchene said the women are grateful for their community's support.

"It's very touching," she said. "We cry a lot. We get surprised a lot and cry a lot. It's very touching."
