Dislocated Workers Could Qualify for Health Care Help

There may soon be money available for dislocated workers who need help paying health insurance costs.

Dislocated workers who are in an approved Workforce Investment Act training program may qualify for up to $500 a month to be used to pay for health care.

Frank Flaminio, Trumbull County One Stop supervisor, said the money is part of the federal stimulus package and anyone who feels they may qualify should contact their caseworker at Trumbull County One Stop.

Is this only for Trumbull County? I live in Christian County and am currently attending an approved training program through WIA. I loss my health insurance when I lost my job. I have been paying the doctor cash. Now I am afraid I have a more serious problem and need to see a specialist, but I don't have that kind of cash.
