Crash Claims Life of Leavittsburg Teen, Another Injured

One Trumbull County teenager is dead, another critically injured, following a late night car accident in Southington.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Travis Garcia, 18, of Leavittsburg was speeding when he lost control of his car, struck a utility pole and flipped the vehicle several times.

Garcia was pronounced dead at the hospital. His passenger, Bow Yeater, 17, of Leavittsburg remains in critical condition.

The accident happened on Route 305 around 11:00 Tuesday night.

Police say neither teen was wearing a seatbelt.
