Cortland Man Accused of Road Rage Behind Bars

A Trumbull County man faces two counts of felonious assault after police said he forced a woman and her young daughter off the road Friday.

Joshua Ford, 22, is in jail on $20,000 bond after police the accident which took place on State Route 5 in Bazetta.

Police said Ford allegedly forced off the road a car driven by Jamie Roach, who had her young daughter in the vehicle with her.

"He was coming closer and closer to me, and I hit the brakes and swerved. I lost control and went end over end, and landed on that sign," Roach told Trumbull Bureau Chief Peggy Sinkovich.

Both Roach and her daughter were injured in the crash, said reports. Roach walked with a noticeable limp as she observed Ford being arraigned in Central District Court Monday.

Ford will be back in court Wednesday.
