Residents in Petersburg are another step closer to having clean water.
Mahoning County Commissioners are now advertising for bids on construction to extend water lines from Aqua Ohio in Poland to Petersburg in Springfield Township.
Leaders say this is the first major project in the County to use stimulus money, but they have to act quickly, to take advantage of $800,000 from the federal government. Construction should start sometime in early July, with water flowing by the end of the summer.
