The latest effort to sway the Ohio governor's decision concerning clemency for Jason Getsy, comes from the Chiefs of Police Association.

At a news conference today Austintown Police Chief, Robert Gavalier told reporters that the organization put together a letter signed by chiefs of police in four surrounding counties asking the governor to turn down the Ohio parole board's recommendation for clemency in the case of Jason Getsy.

Gavalier says that if the Governor signs off on the board's recommendation it would open up a "can of worms for law enforcement" adding that the parole board didn't get all the facts before making their recommendation.
