Scott and Linda Adair's home on Revere Run in Canfield looks just like any other house on the street.  But that all changed this morning, as police seized the home and everything inside of it. They believe Scott Adair is the mastermind behind the embezzlement of at least $1.3 million from his former business, Southwind Trucking Company in Austintown.  Police were tipped off in April on the alleged embezzlement by the co-owner of that business.  But detectives say this ordeal started years ago. "We have evidence tracking it back from 2000, 2001.  But, we believe it to be before that," said Det. Kathy Dina from Austintown's Police Department.

Austintown Police spent Friday morning taking items in boxes out of the house on Revere Run. But, the list of what they took far exceeds what fits inside the home.  From savings accounts, to sports tickets in Cleveland to life insurance policies, police seized everything deemed an asset to both Scott and Linda Adair.  That's something a bit unusual in a case like this.  "It's very unusual. You need to connect the funds that were taken from the company to the house. That those tainted funds were used for the house, to purchase the house.  To make payments on it. Or, anything, cars, whatever it may be," said Det. Dina.

Linda Adair is accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of non-payroll checks and health benefits from South Trucking.  While there are no pending criminal charges against the Adair's, prosecutors believe one or more felony complaints to be made against them.  A hearing is scheduled for June 24th.
