Trumbull County commissioners are expected to pass a resolution Wednesday to place the aggregation program for the unincorporated areas in the county on the November ballot.

If passed, the county would then join Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council for the aggregation program.

Commissioners say residents who take part in the program could save up to five percent on their utility bills.  "I think it is a good program, it was cited by the Wall Street Journal as one of the most successful.", states Paul Heltzel, Trumbull County Commissioner.

Commissioners say even if voters pass the issue, residents can still choose to opt out of the program if they do not want to take part.
