The 910th Airlift Wing at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna has once again teamed up with the Mission of Love to help those less fortunate.
A cargo plane loaded with 53,000 pounds of aid is now on its way to Honduras. It's expected to arrive there next week.
Reservists and volunteers from the local organization helped fill the plane with the supplies at the Air Reserve Station Monday morning. The aid will be used for children, widows and the elderly in the poorest areas to benefit schools, health centers, nursing homes, housing projects and medical brigades.
"Working with the 910th here has been a relationship for many, many years. Through the 910th, we've been able to airlift over 40 different airlifts to different countries around the world," said Kathleen Price of Mission of Love.
The Mission Of Love Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian aid to those in need worldwide.
