The Canfield Fair has a wide variety of displays, activities, and entertainment for the the whole family. This list will tell you just about everything you need to know about the daily attractions to be found at the fair.

American Red Cross Bloodmobile - Located at the Medical Building.

Buckeye Memorial Grove – A memorial area dedicated to war veterans is surrounded by beautiful plantings of Ohio’s tree – the buckeye.

Education Building
– Displays of penmanship, poetry, art, woodworking, science, math, home economics – all done by Mahoning County students who have worked very hard to be selected to have their piece displayed at the Fair. Live demonstrations each day.

Government building – Local townships and government agencies have displays to help you expand your knowledge on how they work and the many ways they benefit the community.

Grange Displays – Handmade items, preserved foods and crafts made by members.

Junior Fair Activities - Style reviews, saddle horse shows, market livestock sales, dog demonstrations, fun shows, judging and contests. Involves youth who are members of 4-H, Jr. Grange, FFA, Camp Fire, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Farm Bureau Youth.

A Western Reserve Village – Floral and Herb gardens, costumed hostesses in restored buildings surrounding a grassy “Commons.” Live musical entertainment in the Gazebo, brick walkways and live demonstrations. Buildings include a log cabin, country store, blacksmith shop, one-room schoolhouse, doctor’s office, lawyer’s office and church. A watchtower complete the Village.

Worship Services - Will be held on Sunday. Catholic 8:00 a.m.; Ecumenical 9:30 a.m.; Praise & Worship and International Service 11:00 a.m. All will be held at the Concourse Stage located on the concourse with the exception of the International Service which will be held at the International Stage.

Animals
Animal lovers rejoice! There will be hundreds of animals you can view daily at the fair, including cattle, dogs, geese, goats, horses, llamas, pocket pets, poultry, rabbits, sheep, swine, and turkeys.

Old MacDonald’s Farm – A barn full of animals for public viewing.

Duck ponds – Unusual and domestic ducks and geese will be swimming around in ponds near Old MacDonald’s Farm and the Junior Fair area.

Costume Classes – Horses, ponies, cows, sheep, pocket pets, goats, llamas and even pumpkins dressed in wildly imaginative fashion (or non-fashion).

Milking Parlor – Watch how cows are milked with modern equipment. Production records are kept during the fair and milk is picked up daily just like it is on actual farms. Daily at the South Cattle Complex at 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Milk-a-cow – Ever wanted to try this yourself? Now you can!

Sheep - Shearing Demonstration - Saturday, Sunday, & Monday 12:30p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Canfield Leadline - Sheep-showing contest for the presentation of the animal, along with the appearance of the contestant and outfit made of wool or wool blend will be held on Friday, September 3rd, at 7:00 p.m. in the Sheep Building (#36).

Arts
Fine art and arts & crafts lovers will not be disappointed with the displays this year.

Fine Arts Building - Enjoy photography, art, sculpture, and handicrafts. This year's theme is "En Plein Air", which is a French expression that means "in the open air" and describes a style of painting produced outside in natural lighting.

Domestic Arts & Crafts – Needlework, crafts, canned and baked goods, ceramics, fashions, quilts and dolls.

Spinning & Weaving demos (Daily 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. in barn #36)

Western Reserve Wood Carvers (Daily 1:00 p.m. - 4 p.m. at the Fine Arts Building)

Contest
Rooster Crowing Contest – Annual Labor Day Crow-Off.

Equipment and Machinery
Threshing, woodcutting, baling, conveyors and more! Old-fashioned machinery at it's finest.

Modern Farm Machinery Row – The largest display of monster-sized tractors and harvest equipment at any local county fair.

Antique Carriage Museum - A display of restored old and unique buggies and wagons.

Information
Parking – Free Always – 175 Acres – Free Shuttle Rides!

Senior Citizen Shuttle – People mover service to all areas of the Fair midways with Junior Fair tour guides providing information about buildings, displays and activities. This service will be provided on Wednesday, September 1st and Friday, September 3rd, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Park Benches & Picnic Tables
– Family eating and resting areas located in pleasant grassy spots.

Baby Comfort Station – Quiet area with diaper-changing facility on the north side of Commercial Building #22 – close to the Big Rock.

Music & Entertainment
Band Concerts – FREE! County high school marching bands perform at the Grandstand on Thursday, September 2nd, at 11:00 a.m.

Cheerleading Demonstration – FREE! Held in the Grandstand on Wednesday, September 1st at 11:00 a.m. Come and root on your school!

Concourse Stage
– The north stage features various kinds of music daily. It is the home of the Royal Court and Outstanding Youth ceremonies. Be sure to attend all of these events.

Robinson Family Singers
– Good friends return once more with their familiar blend of old-fashioned harmony and wholesome banter.

Produce

Vegetables, fruit, hay, grain, and flowers are all on display.

Pumpkin palace – Pumpkins from enormous to miniscule! Painted pumpkins, scarecrows, gourds, lettered pumpkins and costumed pumpkins.

Holbern Herb Gardens – Located inside Western Reserve Village.

Floral Exhibition – Beautiful floral designs and exhibits, located in building #44.
