Macey Nortey scored a career high 20 points but it was not enough as Youngstown State fell to Kent State, 70-55.  Nortey also added 5 assists.  The Penguins jumped out to an early 10-4 lead before eventually trailing at halftime 31-22.  The second half saw a pretty even game as the Flashes outscored the Penguins by six points to bring the score to its final count.  Yoshica Spears had 12 points and 13 rebounds for Kent State.  Jamilah Humes tallied 14 points.  Howland grad Ellie Shields scored 4 points in 18 minutes of work.  For Youngstown State, Bojana Dimitrov added 15 points and Kenya Middlebrooks chipped in with 12.  YSU drops to 0-3.  The Penguins are back in action Sunday.  The Guins play host to Canisius.  Tip-off set for 2:05 pm.
