Austintown Fitch graduate Dan Gerberry has been activated Tuesday by the Detroit Lions.

The 6’2, 290 pound offensive lineman graduated high school in 2004 and went on to play collegiately for Ball State. In 2008, he helped lead the Cardinals to a perfect 12-0 regular season, and an appearance in the GMAC Bowl.

Gerberry was signed as an undrafted free agent in April 2009. In September, he was moved to the practice team.

The Lions are slated to play the San Francisco 49ers at 4:05 p.m. Dec. 27.
