The Grand River, which flows through Trumbull County, has been named one of America's Most Endangered Rivers by the American Rivers organization. The river was listed because of the risks natural gas drilling poses.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health says it's received less than 30 complaints from people who feel natural gas drilling has impacted their health.

Frack Free Ohio member Tom Cvetkovich said he would like to see a ban on drilling activities in and around the Mill Creek and Meander Reservoir watersheds.

News of the shale boom have many in the area excited, but some a little concerned about what the drilling may do to the area. On Saturday, a protest is planned near Mosquito Lake, an area some hope will not allow drilling.

A natural gas drilling company is suing for permission to cut down trees on 263 acres it has leased from a western Pennsylvania family, saying it must complete the cutting before a protected bat species emerges from hibernation.
