There is some breaking news tonight on the Oakhill Renaissance corruption case.
Sources involved with the case said special prosecutors assigned to it are expected to ask visiting Judge Thomas Wolfe to dismiss the 73-count indictment against the defendants, including businessman Anthony Cafaro and a number of current and former officeholders.
In recent weeks, defense lawyers have filed documents claiming "prosecutorial misconduct," but at this point, it's unknown if that has anything to do with these latest developments.
A hearing on the Oakhill case has been scheduled for Monday.
