Frankenstein Cake by Cake Boutique
Ingredients:
2- 6" x 2" round cakes ( Pick your favorite recipe)
Any filling for a 6" cake
Butter cream Icing
Green Food coloring
White Fondant
Black Fondant
Green Fondant
Black Butter cream
3 round circle cutters for eyes (small, medium and large)
#3 Icing Tip
Covered Cake Board or a Grease proof board 10" round
Instructions:
1. Bake cake and fill it once it has cooled to room temperature.
2. Dye Butter cream green and ice and smooth the cake.
3. Roll out the black fondant approximately 8" round and cut jagged.
4. Place fondant on top of cake making sure to let the jagged edges hang over the edge.
5. Cut a large white circle, a medium black circle, and a small white circle. Assemble for the eyes and place on the cake.
6. Roll 1 small green ball for the nose.
7. Roll 2 larger green balls for the bolts and place on the cake board on either side of the head. Take your finger and indent into the middle of the circle creating the center of the bolt.
8. Take Black butter cream and make the mouth and stitches on the face.
9. Enjoy your tasty treat!
Chocolate-Covered Frankenstein
Things needed:
Marshmallows green chocolate (Wilton makes already dyed green)
Black sprinkles
2 sugar eyes
2 chocolate chip morsals
1 Lollipop stick
Instructions:
1. Place 3 marshmallows onto a lollipop stick close to the top edge.
2. Melt your chocolate according to the package. Be careful not to burn the chocolate in the microwave!
3. Dip the marshmallows and immediately while they are still wet, dip the top into the black sprinkles.
4. Place the eyes on the front of the top marshmallow.
5. Place the one chocolate chip on either side of the top marshmallow.
6. Finally allow them to dry and enjoy!
