Apple Pie in Slow Cooker
Ingredients
-- 8 tart cooking apples, cored, peeled and sliced
-- 1 ½ tsp. cinnamon
-- ¼ tsp. allspice
-- ¼ tsp. nutmeg
-- ¾ cup milk
-- 2 T. softened butter
-- ¾ cup sugar
-- 2 eggs
-- 1 tsp. vanilla
-- 1 ½ cups Bisquick, divided
-- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
-- 3 T. cold butter
Instructions
-- Toss sliced apples with spices and place in lightly greased slow cooker.
-- Mix milk, soft butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and ½ cup Bisquick together, mixing well.
-- Spoon over apples.
-- Combine remaining Bisquick with brown sugar and cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
-- Sprinkle over top, DO NOT STIR. Cover and bake on low for 6-7 hours or until apples are tender.
-- Do NOT lift lid during cooking time. (Could be served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.)
