Safe Students

The WKBN 27 Caring for Our Community campaign highlights local high school students who are committed to making smart choices.

Today's students are under pressure from our society and their peers.  The Caring for Our Community campaign wants to convey a message of safety to students, from students.  Focusing around prom season and the conclusion of the school year, the "Safe Students" initiative features area schools, highlighting students who understand the importance of the decisions they make.

Dozens of local schools were interested in the program and we selected six to highlight for the 2011 campaign.  You will be able to see the final spots and some "behind the scenes" footage coming this week.
