Rich Morgan grew up in the wild backwoods of Geauga County in a small town called Newbury. Having no neighbors with children living nearby, Rich's friends became the personalities on the Cleveland radio and television stations. In addition to that, his mom bought Rich his own weather station. Those elements helped to inspire him to pursue broadcasting.

His first job in the field of broadcasting was with WKSU-FM in 1972. Since then, he has worked at ten radio stations, but his time in Youngstown beginning in 1979 has allowed him the most versatility.

Rich hosted WKBN's long-running "Money Movie" for its final seven years and continues to get viewers who mention their favorite memories of the show to him.

He is the original weatherman for WKBN 27 First News This Morning that began in 1992 and is also currently the weathercaster for WKBN 27 First News at Noon. Rich says, "If you need to know more about me, watch 27 First News in the morning."
