Miriam Hobbs joined WKBN 27 First News in October 2009.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Miriam is excited to be working in the midwest, not too far from home. She comes to the Valley from Alpena, Michigan where she worked as an anchor, reporter, photographer and producer at WBKB TV. Before that, she worked for WBKB's sister station WBUP in Michigan's upper peninsula. Miriam also interned for FOX 2 in Detroit, WLNS in Lansing, MI and HOM-TV in Okemos,MI.
Miriam is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
