Sarah Eisler
A native northeast Ohioan, Sarah Eisler was delighted to return to the area in 1995 to become the morning anchor at 27 First News. She added noon anchoring duties two years later. After nearly six years on the early morning shift, she became the anchor of the 5 and 6 for 27 First Newsl. Over the years, she participated in the expansion of the morning news program and has covered a variety of stories, from Bill Cosby's visit to the Valley to winter Olympics training in Lake Placid, New York.
Sarah decided to step down from her anchoring duties in April of 2007, but is still currently the spokesperson for the Caring for our Community Campaign, and also the host of the Faces of Adoption monthly segment on 27 First News.
Sarah graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a degree in mass communication. She began her career in radio at WCKY-AM in Cincinnati, then moved on the television at WLFI-TV in Lafayette, Indiana. There, she became an active member in the community, volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Mental Health Association.
When she came to the Valley, she continued her involvement with Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley. And she speaks often to different community groups.
